Mario Orihuela Alfonso, 83, of Cuba passed away unexpectedly on October 3rd, 2021, in his
Miami, Florida home.

He was born on September 12th, 1938, in Cuba. He married the love of his life, Elvira Orihuela,
in 1967. They gave life to a beautiful daughter, Heidi Ruiz, in 1973. Mario worked very hard to
provide for his wife and daughter. He brought his family to the United States in 1982 in search of
better opportunities.

He was always a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a great friend. When blessed with
three grandchildren, Christopher Jimenez, Bishop Ruiz, and Kaylin Ruiz, he played an integral
role in their lives. Mario always dedicated his time to his grandchildren, from walks in the park,
to attending major life events. Mario was often seen enjoying long conversations with many. He
always enjoyed his meals, accompanied with a fine cigar and a cup of coffee

He is survived by wife, daughter, grandchildren, and relatives in Cuba. Funeral services will be held at La Paz Funeral Home in Miami on Wednesday, October 5th, from 4 pm to 11 pm.
